Fun in the Saloon

We ended the night in their saloon for a night of entertainment. Karoke, popcorn and beer. Our favorite driver, Little John sang and we all whooped and hollared. We loved little John. His wife Betty might not have been there, but he spoke of her so endearingly. What a guy. The weather changed so quick. It turned misty and cold.
The waves were up about 10 foot on the beach and the guys had to go down and move all the equipment clear back to the tundra about midnight. We were supposed to fly out the next morning and I was getting concerned about the weather. We had to cross the Penny River. This was on the way to Nome on the beach and empied into the very very cold Bering Sea.
